Meet Dr. Eimer
Hi! My name is Micah. I am a cardiologist and the Associate Chief Medical Officer at Northwestern Medicine. I have served patients across the Chicagoland area for over 25 years.
I was born and raised in Chicago. My wife and I currently reside in Glenview, where we raised our three children.
On the weekends, I love running into my patients around town, reading the newspaper and cheering on Da Bears.
How I became involved with Oakton College
As someone who leads hiring efforts across the Northwestern Medicine healthcare system, I have seen firsthand the impacts of the staffing shortage.
For this reason, I began working with leadership at Oakton to create a program that would allow students to work part-time while also pursuing their education at Oakton.
Upon completion of the program, we ensure that there are full-time job opportunities available to students that offer benefits and competitive pay.
Some of my career highlights
- I founded one of the largest pre-med summer programs focused on increasing minority representation in the healthcare industry
- I led the successful openings of the Evanston, Glenview and Deerfield Northwestern Medicine outpatient centers
